Who do you talk like?

Something I have noticed with having children is that they say some really funny things.  They make up little phrases.  These phrases are so funny to my wife and me that we start saying them too.  Here are some examples…

1.)  Instead of yesterday, its yester-night.
2.)  Instead of pajamas with feet, its feeties.
3.)  Instead of holes in your pants, its broken pants.
4.)  Instead of broccoli, its trees.
5.)  Instead of cantaloupe, its duba-duba.
6.)  Instead of “I hurt my arms“, its “I broke my guns“.
7.)  Instead of upside down, its upside over.

The interesting and obvious thing is this:  We have begun talking like them because we spend time with them and because we love them.

When you speak, do you sound like you have spent time with God?
When you speak, do you sound like you love God?

Being able to speak the Word fluently happens in our lives the more we spend time with God.  This is done by being in His Word.  We will want to spend time in His Word and with Him if we love Him.  So PRAY!  Pray that God would give you a passion to know and see Him in His Word.  Pray that God would develop within you a heart that passionately loves Jesus.
