This is information that I have said many times, but I think it is good to say again.

The name of this church is REMEDY CHURCH.  Meaning, we want to be & bring the remedy to the city.

Be the Remedy – We want to be the remedy to the city by always remembering the poor (Gal 2:10, James 1:27) and we want seek the good of the city (Jer 29:7).  We do NOT want being the remedy to the city to merely just be events that we do monthly, however we want it to be our lifestyle.  This means that we must live on mission everyday.  Every conversation counts.  Every word spoken is important.  Every act is an act of worship for Jesus.

Bring the Remedy – While we are seeking the good of the city and helping the poor; WE MUST BRING THE REMEDY.  There is only one hope for this city (and world).  His Name is Jesus.  As we live being the remedy to the city, we must tell, speak, talk about, Jesus.  He must be ever on our lips.  We are not red cross workers.  We are not just being benevolent for humanity’s sake.  We desire to make disciples. (Matt 28:19-20).  We must have a passionate love for Christ which overflows in our speech to those we talk to everyday.  We want to point them to Jesus.  The hope that we have in us (1 Peter 3:15)
