Christmas time is here and with it come Christmas tunes. I just thought I would give everyone a heads up on some good albums I am listening to this season.
Sojourn, a fellow Acts 29 church released an album entitled Advent Songs a couple of years ago. You can get this album for free by following the instructions here. If you feel like paying, you can also pick it up on iTunes.
Another Acts 29 church, Mars Hill Church, has released a Christmas album entitled Silent Night. You can pick up a single off that album for free along with purchasing the entire album here. I have especially enjoyed the free single off this album. It would be a good idea for you to check back with this website as often as you can. They will be releasing new music as frequently as they can record and it would be worth your time to get these albums. (You can also pick up a free copy of another Mars Hill album at Noise Trade, the same website where the Sojourn album is found. The Mars Hill album is entitled Rain City Hymnal.)
A third album is by Bifrost Arts. I recently found them and have grown to really appreciate what they are doing. This website explains the intention behind what they do. So far, they have released a debut album and a Christmas album in a period of six months or less. The debut was on repeat for some time on my iPod and the Christmas album has been a pleasure to listen to this season. You can pick the album up on iTunes. The Christmas album is entitled Salvation Is Created and the debut is entitled Come O Spirit!. Both are worthy listens.
These would be great albums to grab and listen to, especially as we begin to introduce many of these Advent songs into our set lists at Remedy in the coming month.
