I stopped blogging. It was

I stopped blogging. It was laziness mixed with having no idea what I should be writing on this thing and not wanting to waste space for the sake of having a recent post. However, I have realized some things. God has called me to lead worship. He has placed me where I am to teach and lead a congregation of people (most of whom I have no business being “over” in a church setting. I am humbled to be able to serve these people as God grants me the grace to do so.) I am called to point to Christ and explain what I know to be true of corporate worship through song and if blogging helps and people read this thing then by all means I must use it for these very purposes.

I’ve been following some blogs of worship leaders I respect for the past few months and I think I have semi-figured out how this thing should work. So from now on I will be blogging. I will be using this as a means to answer questions about worship and to share with anyone who wants to read about whatever it is God is teaching me in life. Hopefully it will be helpful, direct, and Christ-honoring.

Some questions to be answered: What is the role of physical expression in worship? Why do we play the songs we play at Remedy? Why is the music so loud? Why do we do our worship through song primarily at the end of a gathering? Is worship more than just songs on a Sunday? Why have Scripture readings throughout the set?

So for now you can do a few things to help:

1. Check this site more frequently.

2. Email me your questions regarding worship.

3. Comment on the posts. Let’s get some dialogue going here as we wrestle through truths found in Scripture.

I’m looking forward to however God may use this blog. Pray for me to have wisdom to understand and clearly relate the truths in Scripture. I love you guys. It’s an honor to serve alongside such a group of leaders as we serve such an amazing congregation.
