March 7

This Sunday, Stephen Pappas, Remedy Church’s Volunteer Coordinator, will be preaching the Word. You can be reading through the Psalms, Chapters 42 and 43, as these will be his primary texts for the sermon. You can pray for 3 things regarding the sermon:

1. Pray for your own heart to be receptive to the Word; pray for “good soil” as Jesus puts it in Matthew 13.

2. Pray for the hearts of unbelievers to be regenerated by the Spirit of God and the Gospel of truth as the Word is preached.

3. Pray for Stephen to be used mightily by God, to be filled with His Spirit so as to speak truthfully and clearly in love.

The set list for this Sunday:

You Have Opened My Mouth by Mars Hill Church
[message]
Man of Sorrows by Mars Hill Church
We Have Not Known Thee by Mars Hill Church
The Solid Rock by Mars Hill Church
You Never Let Go by Matt Redman

Consume Us by Remedy Church

“You Have Opened My Mouth” will be a new song for Remedy Church. It is a great song of repentance and hope in salvation taken straight from David’s prayer to God in Psalm 51, after he had committed adultery with Bathsheba, impregnating her and murdered her husband, Uriah. Read this chapter in the Psalms and be thinking on your own sinfulness as we come together to praise God for saving us from our sins and filling us with hope and joy. Use this song at the beginning of the service to confess your sins to him and praise him for the Gospel.

We are greatly looking forward to worshiping with you all this Sunday. For believers it will be a time of encouragement and worship through hearing of the Word and responding in song. Let us be quick to encourage one another and lift one another up in prayer as each of us has need. Beloved, let us love one another, for love us from God and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God (1 John 4:7).

For unbelievers it will be a time of hearing the Gospel preached and sung, meeting people who love Jesus and seeing his grace as it works in the lives of those who know him. Don’t be afraid to ask tough questions. Anyone and everyone is welcome.

Love,

Cameron
