Why do you do what you do?

Why do you come to church?

Why do you volunteer?

Are you simply following the rules that have been given?  Are you simply just doing what someone told you to do?  Do you ever examine the motives of why you would go to church or serve?

Our motives are just as important as the act.  Why we go to church or why we serve means just as much to God as actually doing it.

So, why do we go to church?  Because we have been told to in Hebrews 10:25?  Or, is there more?  Could it be that we go because it is the place that God has designed where we can gather with other believers weekly and fully see how glorious Christ is with the community of other believers?  Would we be able to experience this glory of Jesus without being in the community of other believers on Sunday?  I don’t think so.
Why?  Because, we desire to see His glory and for Him to be made glorious in our church.

Then, why do we volunteer?  Is it just because the church has made me feel guilty if I don’t?  Or, could it be that God has uniquely gifted you in such a way to serve the body?  And when you serve, you fulfill the promise given to us in Ephesians 4:16 by God that we as a church will grow (ALL TOGETHER) if you serve and use your gifts that God has given you.

So, we need you.  More than you know.  We need you to plug in, and be a part of the church and to serve.

Please jump in and pull the plow with us (Luke 9:62) and don’t just sit by and consume and spectate.

Twitter

Why did I get a twitter?

After reading this I began to stop mocking the fact that people simply would not care “what I’m doing now” in 140 characters or less and thought that he does have a point.

So, I agree with him.  If I can give hope, The Word, produce worship, affections for Christ or any of these things, and do it in 140 characters or less & speak to the church more often than once per week then I should.

So I have a twitter account.
You can follow me at twitter.com/phudchambers

You can also follow other staff at twitter.com/cameronkeith or twitter.com/benreinken.

Remedy is Moving!!

What?!?!?!

That’s right.  Remedy Church is moving to another location, on Main Street,  beginning in October!  After much prayer and looking, God has provided another location for Remedy Church to meet in.  October will come really fast!  We’re are super excited about it and thankful to God for providing to us another place to meet.

The big announcement was made this past Sunday to the faithful attenders of the Labor Day weekend service.  We’ll give the details again this weekend and you’ll have to wait until then to see the pictures, unless I figure out how to post them between now and Sunday.

Some really awesome things are happening right now in the life of Remedy Church, so please be in constant prayer for us to be blessed by God & sense His direction and leading as go into this next phase of life for Remedy Church.

Speaking of prayer … You are invited this coming Sunday, Sept 13, right after church, to go over to the new location and pray with us.  We are asking everyone that wants to come to pray with us.  We want to get together as a Church and ask for God’s blessing and leading as we continue to strive to see Jesus made known in the city of Rock Hill.
