How much should a preacher know and read Scripture?  Charles Spurgeon answered this question saying:

“Cut him anywhere; and you will find that his blood is Bibline, the very essence of the Bible flows from him. He can’t speak without quoting a text, for his soul is full of the Word of God.”

I want to know the Word of God like this; not to impress people, but because I want to love my Saviour with such vigor, that I cannot help but to seek Him in the Scriptures with all my might.  This quote should not just be about preachers, instead of every Christian.

How much more should we be in the Word than what we are now? God, cause us to have such a vivacity for You that we cannot live without Your Word.
