I was in seminary from 2001-2004. It was a great and awesome experience. Sometimes I hear pastors speak of their time in seminary with disdain. This seems unfortunate. It makes me even more thankful for the experience I had in seminary.
My first semester in seminary shaped and really began my deep love for seminary. The first semester I was there, I signed up for a Christian Ethics class. My professor was Dr. Mark Liederbach. I was simply amazed. I had never really been around someone who was extremely intellectual, yet an outstanding teacher/communicator as well as someone who deeply loved Jesus and the Gospel.
I took as many classes as I could with him while I was there. One of which was his ‘Marriage and Family’ class. This was a very shaping class for me. It challenged me to understand all the depths of marriage, its foundation, roles in marriage, communication and conflict, and intimacy.
A couple weeks ago we were privileged to have Dr. Liederbach come and serve us through teaching at our marriage event. We were able to record the audio from it and will be posting on our Remedy Church Event Podcast. There were 5 sessions total (4 sessions and 1 Q & A). Keep checking back for more audio.
