This past Sunday, by God’s grace, Remedy Church reached it’s second birthday.
It is really encouraging to look back over the last two years and to see God’s grace in our church. God has allowed us to see and be a part of many things.
I’d like to take this opportunity to remind us all of the faithfulness and goodness of God toward us over the past 2 years…
1.) We have been saved by God. He has sent His own Son to come for us and bear the full brunt of His wrath toward mankind because of our sin. This, and this alone, is reason to rejoice and be thankful to Him for how good He is.
2.) God has allowed our church to see around 8 young couples get married and start their families. This has been an amazing testimony to the goodness of God.
3.) God has been gracious to grant us little children to be born in this church. The most amazing testimony of God’s goodness is little Isabella, who will be one year old this March (2011). Isabella was born around when her mom was around 24 weeks pregnant (16 weeks premature) and weighed 15ozs. She was 1 ounce below being one pound! Today, though she is small, has virtually no medical complications and is doing great and joy to her parents. God is so good!
4.) God has amazed us in allowing us to see almost 20 baptisms. At each baptism, each person has given their testimony telling how God is faithful to them and their belief in the Gospel. All of these baptisms have been very special, but some that have stood out were seeing a dad baptize his son and a husband-to-be baptize his wife-to-be.
5.) God has been faithful to us financially. God has brought a lot of outside financial help coupled with the generous giving of the people of Remedy. This has allowed us to always be able to meet our expense each month and to be generous in giving to the city and other church plants.
6.) God has given us many places to serve. There are simply too many places to name here. But we are over-joyed at all the opportunities that God has given us to serve the city, meet people, forge friendships, and share the Gospel. We praise God for this and are praying for more.
May God in His grace grant us more years to lift high the Name of Jesus Christ as the only hope for salvation.
